What are Rizatriptan Orodispersible Tablets?
Rizatriptan Orodispersible is a fast-acting migraine treatment for adults and children aged 6 and over, designed to dissolve on the tongue without the need for water—ideal for use on the go or when nausea makes swallowing difficult.
Uses:
-
Acute treatment of migraine attacks with or without aura
-
Suitable when rapid onset and ease of use are desired
How It Works:
Rizatriptan stimulates serotonin (5-HT₁B/₁D) receptors, narrowing swollen blood vessels in the brain and blocking pain signals to stop migraine symptoms.
Directions:
Place one tablet on the tongue at the first sign of migraine; it will dissolve and can be swallowed with saliva. A second dose may be taken after 2 hours if needed. Maximum dose in 24 hours: 30 mg.
