What is Proctosedyl?

Proctosedyl is a combination medicine used to relieve pain, itching, and inflammation caused by haemorrhoids (piles) and other conditions affecting the anal area. It contains:

• Hydrocortisone – a corticosteroid that reduces inflammation and swelling
• Cinchocaine hydrochloride – a local anaesthetic that relieves pain and itching

Used for:
Haemorrhoids (internal and external)
Anal fissures (small tears in the lining of the anus)
Post-surgical or post-partum anal discomfort

How It Works:
Hydrocortisone reduces inflammation and swelling, while cinchocaine numbs the area to provide rapid pain and itch relief.

Directions for Use:
Apply a small amount to the affected area up to three times daily, preferably after a bowel movement.
